Federal Jury Convicts Kingsport Man on All Four Drug Counts

A federal grand jury indictment in the Eastern District of Tennessee charged Aaron Tyshawn Jackson, 27, of Kingsport, with four counts arising from an alleged multi-drug trafficking conspiracy spanning corridors between Chattanooga and Kingsport [1]. The charges included conspiracy to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl, conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, and two additional distribution offenses [1]. All four counts survived to trial before Judge Clifton L. Corker.

The jury returned guilty verdicts on all four counts [1]. Prosecutors Meghan L. Gomez and AnCharlene Davis of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee tried the case for the government [1]. The record does not reflect retained defense counsel. The conviction established threshold drug quantities under federal mandatory-minimum statutes, which carry elevated sentencing floors, particularly for fentanyl conspiracies involving 400 grams or more.

Judge Corker sentenced Jackson on June 17, 2026, to 288 months, or 24 years, in federal prison [1]. Federal sentences are served without parole, meaning Jackson must complete the full term subject only to good-conduct time. The sentencing proceeding was consistent with the drug-quantity findings the jury made at trial, which triggered the applicable statutory ranges under 21 U.S.C. § 841 and § 846.

The case was brought as part of broader multi-agency enforcement efforts targeting fentanyl and methamphetamine distribution networks operating along the Chattanooga-to-Kingsport corridor in Tennessee [1]. No post-trial motions or notice of appeal appear in the published record as of the sentencing date. Whether Jackson has since filed an appellate challenge in the Sixth Circuit is not confirmed by available sources.
