Alaska Jury Convicts Mario Jackson on All Six Murder Counts

An Anchorage jury convicted Mario Jackson, 36, on two counts of first-degree murder and four counts of second-degree murder following a trial in Alaska Superior Court, Third Judicial District [1][2]. The charges arose from a downtown shooting on Oct. 17, 2025, that killed Sheila Agarchuk and Bobby Deloach [1][2]. The six-count indictment survived to trial intact, presenting the jury with both the premeditated and lesser theories of culpability for each victim [2].

At trial, the prosecution relied in part on surveillance footage that it argued depicted Jackson as the shooter [1]. Jackson took the stand in his own defense, denied being the person shown in that footage, and asked the jury to reject the identification [1]. The jury returned guilty verdicts on all six counts on May 14, 2026 [1][2].

Sentencing has not been scheduled, and no date was reported in available sources [1][2]. Under Alaska law, first-degree murder carries a mandatory minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 99 years per count, meaning Jackson faces a substantial consecutive or concurrent term at the discretion of the sentencing court. No appeal has been filed as of the date of the verdict, and defense counsel had not yet made a public statement on post-trial motions [1][2].
